A Teacher's Life.

First in, last out

My day is long

The children shout:

"That's MY pencil!"

"That's MY chair!"

"Teacher, teacher...that's not fair!"

Lunchtime bell but where's the line?

"Unless you're silent, NO DINNERTIME!"

Children gone, there's peace at last!

So much to get ready

Better eat fast

Afternoon comes so much to do

Change for PE

"Hey, where's my shoe?"

Nearly hometime, no time to be slow

Letters and lunchboxes ready to go

Off to their parents and home for some fun

Not me though. I'm stuck here in the classroom all on my own. SSsshhh!

Day #2 of the summer holidays is nearly over and I hope you're all having fun!

So I was thinking, what happens if you're having a bit of a boring day?

And then I thought, everyone at Kings Road is so kind, they'll definitely want to make suggestions to help their friends out...

So I had an idea!

Last night saw over 100 children and adults attend the Year 6 Leavers Barbecue at Kings Road Primary School. Invitees were treated to a barbecue food and salad with ice creams to finish, provided by the PTA and cooked by Mrs Kendall and Mr Kyriacou.

Entertainment included 'Identify the adult or children from the baby photo' competition!  The winners will be announced next week!

Also, there was music and dancing to the Macarena as well as several renditions of Don't Stop Believing!

A brilliant time was had by all. Best wishes to all the Year 6s who will be leaving us shortly as they embark on a wonderful future ahead. They will be missed.

What is your favourite poem?

I love all sorts of poems. One one of my favourites (which is also quite silly) is by the brilliant Spike Milligan. It is called "I'm Not Frightened of Pussy Cats". I think it is best read out loud.

I'm not frightened of Pussy Cats

They only eat up mice and rats,

But a Hippopotamus

Could eat the Lotofus!

Hi my name's Alex and i'm on the Isle Of Wight. I'm sharing a room with Kara B, Doriane C, Megan G and me. Unfortuantely we don't have a bath. Its really nice here but the ferry ride was a bit too rough for me. In our room has three sets of bunk beds. Our rooms our next to Emily E, Angelica C, Holly H, Amy M, who were REALLY noisy. On the ferry it was really annoying because Bradley T kept on saying 'we're sinking we're drowning' i told him to be quiet cause he was saying it to annoy me but he didn't so i just went away.

 Year 6 have been designing and making rollercoasters with MR. Furness using a programme called nolimits! We filled in a spec sheet that MR. Furness made for us which included the name of the rollercoster, how fast it was and other important things.

 Year 6 pupils have been making Learning Toolkits to help other pupils learn French. They have been using PowerPoint to make some interactive tools and learning how to add a variety of media.

Pupils have also been reviewing each others Learning Toolkits against this criteria.

i am soooooo glad that the judges on x factor have seen sense and kicked of jedward they were the most rubbished people ever, i think that olly or stacy should win joe is really freaky he has this weird twitchy thingy if u watch really carefully u can see it he like is ok then twitches its scary.

This term we have been playing hockey. We learnt lots of skills such us :

Next term we are doing football!!! we can't wait...!
