Year 4 Homework Project - The Aztecs and the History of Chocolate

This half term’s project needs to be completed and in school by Monday 2nd June which gives you the whole half term and your half term holiday to work on it. Task: We would like you to produce a book that tells us all about the Aztecs and the history of chocolate. Your book should be presented in sections, just like a non-fiction book and should include:

  • Contents page
  • Index
  • Glossary
  • Headings
  • Sub-headings
  • Fact boxes
  • Picture/photograph/diagrams with captions
  • Maps

You can either make the book or use a file/scrapbook. You could use ICT to help you with your research and the final presentation of your project. The type of information you need to include:

  • Who were the Aztecs?
  • When were they alive?
  • Where did they live?
  • What was everyday life like in Aztec society? (homes, food, clothes, jobs, religion, school, arts and crafts etc).
  • What is the connection between the Aztecs and chocolate?
  • How did they discover chocolate?
  • How did they make chocolate?
  • What was Aztec chocolate like?
  • Who discovered that the Aztecs had chocolate and brought it to Europe?

Happy researching!!!!!!!!!! We can’t wait to see the results.
