JF9 Class Assembly Video and Photographs

Pupils in Class JF9 have been busy planning and preparing for their class assembly over the past week or so. They have worked together to choose items to present during the assembly and have also written the script.

On Tuesday 29th April 2008, the pupils performed their assembly to the whole school, including many parents who came along to watch.

A video camera recorded the action for parents and pupils to watch whilst Mrs Uzmen took some excellent photographs. Please do leave a comment with your thoughts on how well the children have done. Remember, not only were they the script writers, but also the show producers!

You will need to install the Apple QuickTime plugin to watch the video. This is a free download from the Apple website.

  • When were they alive?
  • Where did they live?
  • What was everyday life like in Aztec society? (homes, food, clothes, jobs, religion, school, arts and crafts etc).
  • What is the connection between the Aztecs and chocolate?
  • How did they discover chocolate?
  • How did they make chocolate?
  • What was Aztec chocolate like?
  • Who discovered that the Aztecs had chocolate and brought it to Europe?

Happy Easter

Hi NW8,

Just learnt how to blog, so I thought I'd wish you all a very happy Easter! Don't eat too many chocolate eggs-I'll finish off any you can't manage just bring them into school for me on Tuesday!

Hope you are all doing something nice. I'm going into London on Saturday. I'm going to treat myself to a nice lunch and have a look around the shops-one of my favourite occupations as many of you know.

I will get up early to go for a swim first though-I have to do at least 100 lengths!

My cats will be cross I have left them all day though so I will have to be extra nice to them when I get home-lots of cuddles I think.

I'll let you know if I buy anything nice.

Miss White
