Playground and Field Improvement Ideas
On the 3rd July 2008 some of the School Governors met at Kings Road to discuss ways to improve the Schools Playgrounds and Field areas.
We started by walking around these areas to see what is currently there, after this we had a discussion as to how the School could improve them for your benefit. During these discussions it was decided that your ideas and comments would be very valuable to any decisions being made. We therefore want you to respond to this blog by suggesting ANY IDEAS YOU HAVE on how the school could improve these areas used for Playing and Learning Activities. Perhaps you could ask others whilst you are in the playground as to their thoughts.

We think that we could improve the playground by having more playtime equipment because we are not aloud to use them that much.
We would like more Skipping Ropes and Hula Hoops

We could have more play equitment because we havn't got much and we are not aloud to use them. The play equitment we want is footballs.

We think that we could impvrove by putting more apparatus in other playgrounds like climbing frames and let us on the apparatus on the feild

I think that the plaground is fine but the aporators on the field we can't use. The metal aporators on the feild we will like to use again.

We think that we should have more play time equitment like hula hoops and skipping ropes. We would also like to have more shelter in the year 5 and 6 playground because theirs not much shade and the weather is getting hotter?!
Also we need proper football pitches and goals because they use the hedges for goals and we like to play in them.

Fix the monkey bars so they don't wobble or slide about so they are safer to play on.

We think that we should have some apperators in corparation and dixon road because all there is is floor paintings like some scipping ropes, climbming frames, swings, and balls to play catch and bascket ball.Thank you.

I think we should get a few mini football pitches on the field cause the school need to no so they no where the throw on is taken and other stuff like that.

Dear Sir,
Some people are not comfortable with the playground is and would like to put forward a few comments to inprove it.
We have talked of having a quiet area were we can read books and take a break from the sun for a couple of minutes, (We thought of a cover over the top so as some of us who take intrest in reading can read properly without squinting at their book.)
It would also help if we could put more waterfountains to drink from aroud the playground as we get very hot playing in the sun.
We could put in a sandpit area to play in and more hopscotch painted on the floor, for some people enjoy doing it.
I look forward to hearing your veiws to this matter as soon as possible,

Dear Madam, sir,
we are writing to you about how we could improve the schools fercilities. Our ideas are: A slide because we don't have one
To have more clubs and activities at lunch time that include breing outside. Because at the moment we find it hard to find things to do.
Have a quiet area, possibly because people who then want to read can in peace and not be in danger of being hit by a football or various other objects. Have seperate climbing frames for the older children EG. key stage two and up have a seperate climbing frame for key stage 1.
Have a snack area. Because then if you get hungry you can snack out. if possible the kitchen staff could come out with friut for us to perchase during break

More drinking water because children can get really hot and thirsty when they run around about alot.A Little quiet reading earea on the field and play ground for peaple who like piece and quiet.A black board to draw on whith chalk howether we could have an little box in each shed so we know where all the chalk is cept, and on the walls where the black boards are theres a sledge so that no rein can get on to the drawings dont get destroyed.An peforming earea for talent shows and audisiouns alsow we can do plays.We cant wait from hearing from you.
