Okay, to get the ball rolling here are a few ideas I have had:
1. Sign up for the Library Reading Challenge. It's free & you can win prizes for reading new books over the summer. You could even post up book reviews on the blogsite.
http://www.spacehop.org.uk/
2. Go to the cinema to see Toy Story 3 (or anything else that takes your fancy!)
3. Go to the park with your friends.
4. Create a funny poll on the blogsite.
5. Make a sundial (only on a sunny day)! If you want want to know how, post back & I'll give instructions.
Now I can't wait to hear your ideas....

Hi Carineh,
I'm glad that you've posted this blog because there is a really exciting opportunity for Lego enthusiasts to enter a competition and Lego are giving away prizes each month.
Once you've decided on an idea, make it, then take a photograph and upload it into the website. You can enter a new idea each month between now and October 2010.
Go to... www.legotechnicchallenge.co.uk
Why not post your Lego machines on the blog so that we can all see what you've made?
Enjoy the Summer!
Mr Furness
I had two further thoughts for activities during the Summer holiday, both look like lots of fun!
Idea #7
Make a Giant Ice Cube
Click to watch the video of how to do this. Perfect for the Summer and all this hot weather. Once you've made one, there's lots you could do with it! Watch the clip!
You could even take a photograph of the ice cube that you've created and post it on the blog.
Idea #8
Make a Periscope
Year 4s will remember making one of these with me during our Science activities earlier this year when we were investigating how light travels. Again, a video explains how to make one from just a few simple materials.
When you've made one, tell us how you used it and who did you spy on!
Connie
Maybe if your bored you could invite a friend round or maybe have a nice realaxing day doing art or making up games!

Hi Connie,
Thanks so much for posting up your ideas! I love your great suggestions...
Building on your ideas, you could design & create your own board game (like monopoly etc). You could even get some modelling clay to make your own pieces & counters.
Another idea would be to make your own comic strip story (you know like you see in magazines). If you have a digital camera you could create photo scenes. Once you put them on the computer, you can add speech / thought bubbles etc to help tell the story.
Of course if you have a few pounds to spend, you could go into town and buy a canvas and paint it
If you do some art don't forget to share it with us and let us see what you've done!
Connie
I will try and get my art (if I do any) on the blog!!!
Kieran
Maybe you could go to the cinema with your freinds or family!

Hi!
I wanted to post some of my ideas with Kings Road
I had a few ideas!
You could go to a theme park? Or maybe something like Lego Land (We're thinking about going there!) I thought maybe, if you couldn't go to the beach you could make one in the back yard! Here's what I mean.......... You could get the paddling pool out as the sea and maybe get some buckets and spades! You could put yellow blankets or towels on the grass as sand, get your family outside and they sun bathe!
But do please try persuade them to dip their feet in the pool! I thought about you maybe calling some friends or cousins round at your beach party!
Have Fun if you want to try out one of my ideas! ENJOY!
P.S Persuade your Mum, Dad, Carer or whoever looks after you to get you an ice cream! Oh and a nice, cold, icy drink!!!

Erin,
That is a fab idea! I love it
I want a back garden beach party now!
Now all I need is some properly hot weather, a new paddling pool (current one has a puncture
) a sandpit & sand and I'll be ready to go! However I do have some lollies in the freezer so it's not all bad
Erin L
You don't need any sand! But if you want it thats fine! Don't worry about the size of the pool remember it's about you having fun!! Thank you x
