On wednesday 1st July JF13 had a football coach. We had to do all kinds of actives, for example we had to jog around the balls and then we got to a ball we had to jump over the balls.

we played a game where you cant go out of the course or you will lose a life. We had 3 lifes.

 This week is a healthy schools week, where we have to do activties about keeping healthy. One of the activies  is  making a healthy smoothie that is run by a bike.The other activty is to run a marathon we had to run 555 metres . This week we are also doing national sports week, where we get to do loads of sports. Tomorrow we are having our sports day.

Isle Of Wight Week

On Monday 8th June we had to wave goodbye to our parents, and to chelmsford to begin our long 4 hour journey to the Isle of Wight. The coach Journey was really boring ( I must have seen a million trees) but i was really looking forward to getting there. After an anoying 4 hours we arrived at the ferry. We then got of the coach and went upstairs and we could see the sea from a really high point. When we got off the ferry we got back on the coach and we travelled to Amazon world, where we saw snakes, spiders, butterfly's and birds. After this we went to our hotel Palm Court! 

As soon as we arrived we met Granddad and the hotel owner Keith. Keith sent us to our rooms to unpack. Later on that day we sat down to have our tea. It was really really nice. When we went to bed i couldn't get to sleep because i was so exited. The whole trip to the I.O.W was a really great and sucsessful one. I especially enjoyed theese events,

Theatre;

And Dinner!

 I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the children and staff for a fantastic week on the Isle of Wight. I can honestly say that it was the best residential I have been involved in. I was extremely proud of all the children, they were thoughtful and caring throughout the week and certainly kept myself and the other staff entertained with their quirky ways and humorous comments! Despite feeling a tad jaded due to late nights and early mornings I am spending time reviewing all of the blog entries and pictures and am delighted to read so many positive comments from the children in year 6. The activity week certainly looked enjoyable and I am looking forward to hearing all about the week on Monday.

IOW 2009

                                                                                                    Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!

 Good morning Chelmsford!

It is five past seven, the sun is shining brightly and the children are all still asleep!! It's hard to believe that it is day four already. This morning we are off on a boat cruise around the Needles and then engaging in some water sports this afternoon! This evening, once the children have packed and made claim to all the stray pants and socks,  the children will have an opportunity to display their many talents in our IOW talent show. 

I hope that everything is well in England!! (it is amazing what a ferry ride can do to the Children's geographical bearings!) 

I am sure the children will keep you posted on events today.

how are you all at kings road.  we are all having a  good time . We do miss you all.

we will say hi to everyone.

Today we went to Black Gang Chine. We got to go on a water ride called open hole and closed hole. Once we had our two goes some people went on the Cliffhanger ( rollercoaster ). The people who didn't want to go on they went in a chocolate shop and got something. After that we all went to see different parts so we split up. We all met up at a park when we had our lunch. Then we had a play. After we finished we went to the gift shop. When we got back on the couch we all went back to the hotel and got ready for going back out to see Kapow in shancklin theatre.

 Hello everyone Chloe.H here to speak about the third day at the Isle of Wight.

It was raining for the first time this week.

Today we went to Blackgang Chine. First we went on the water rides. One of the rides was called the Plughole. That one was completely covered over. I went on that ride with Mr Kyriacou. He screamed really loudly. Then we went on the rollercoaster called Cliff Hanger. It was really scary! After that we had our lunch. Then we went to the Cowboy part of the the park. Then we went back to the hotel. We had our tea and then went to the Theater to watch Kerpow! It was all about superheroes. It was really good. 

That was all for day 3 read more tomorrow for day 4.

 I went to sleep nice and early on Tuesday night and had a really good sleep. I woke up feeling ready for the day. Today we went to Blackgang Chine. Most people went on the water ride and I enjoyed watching them. The best parts of the day for me was when Mr Kyriacou lent me his sheriffs badge and I arrested all the lady staff. I really liked the majic mirrors that made my body look all funny. Everyone is off at the Theatre so PC Turton and I have got the hotel all to our selves to watch DVD's!

Hi today we went to backgang  chine, we 1st went to the on the water slide  i 1st went with abbi 2 the rachel then abbi n later we wnt on the rolacoster that was well fun, the rest of the we got sume goodies and played lots of games............

we have had a good and it is going to get better we are going to watch a  film

 Hi everyone Chloe.H and Tina here again to say what we did at the Isle of Wight day 2.

First we went to Carisbrooke Castle. We went up on the top of the castle which is called the keep. There were a lot of stairs.  After we had our lunch we went to Colemans Farm. We looked at some rabbits and Guinea pigs. We then went to groom the sheep. We then fed the cows. Then we went to feed the baby lambs. They were all really keen to get some milk. Then we went on a tractor around the farm.

Thats all for day 2.

Hiya every one this was On Wednesday 10th June the Isle of Wight children went to Black Gang Chine. There was so many rides e g Cliff Hanger, three water slides, spinning cups. We had a great time there. We went on some of the rides and we went round the whole park. Tonight we are going to the theater to see Kapow, tomorrow we are going to do some water sports.  

 Good Morning Chelmsford!

The sky was full of rain and half past five this morning, but now we have all finished breakfast the sun is trying to break through. We are looking forward to another busy day and the children look a little more refreshed than yesterday morning after having a little (yes only a little) more sleep last night.

The children have been a real delight and are certainly ensuring we have all had such a good week so far. 

I will post more later but risk missing the coach (again!) if I do not get myself orgainised.

We are encouraging the children to post information on the site although some are a little reluctant to do so as they are pre occupied!

 Hi everyone! Today we went to Carisbrooke castle. It was really fun! When we got there we saw a couple of donkeys. One was called Jim Bob and the other one was named Jack. Later on that day we saw Jim bob turning the water wheel. It was really fun and we learnt about the donkeys. 

In the afternoon we went to Colemans Farm. It was a great experiance, as we fed many animals. We also groomed the goats as well! A man Graham gave us a tour of the farm, and also gave us a ride in the back of the tractor. He said to beware of the frog, but we thought it was a joke. But when we passed a shed a toy frog sprayed water at us!

We had a great time today, and I'll give you more info soon!

We are having fun at the isle of wight. today we went to carisbrooke castle it was so fun and there were lots of great views at the top of the castle.We had to walk up 72 step to get up there.

Then we went to colemens farm and we fed lambs, when we where grooming the goats there was an acident when charlotte b got ramed into the fence, but luckly she was fine.

It was so fun i miss you all 

Today we visited Carisbrooke castle it was good fun, when we arrived we got into our own groups and went our separate ways.My group went to the armory room but there was another school there so we could not try anything on.We went down these spiral stairs thinking it would lead us to a exciting room but it leaded it us to the entrance. After there we went to se a pony walk a wheel. Then we had lunch then we went to a farm. The farm has so cute animals. We went on a tractor and got wet lol. We got to feed the animals the most exciting bit was feeding the baby   lambs with a milk bottle.

 Hello from the Isle of Wight! Yesterday we went to Amazon World and I really enjoyed seeing the animals. The animal I liked the most was the Owl. When we got to the hotel I found out that I was sharing a room with Tom and Oliver, I was really pleased with this. After we had been to our rooms we sat in the dining room ready to eat our dinner. In the evening we walked to the beach and I enjoyed throwing stones in the sea.  We had to walk up a big hill back to the hotel. Today we are going to a Castle and a farm. At night time I watched Maddagasca 2!!

Yesterday 36 year 6 pupils went to the Isle of Wight. We left school at 9:30 and got on the Ferry at 2:30. We went to Amazon World at 3:00 and played in the park because Mr Kyriacou had to get a different ferry than the group of Year 6's. When Mr Kyriacou got there we watched the Falconry display. It was quite good. We then went round the actually zoo. Which was full of Amazing animals such as Meerkats, Anteaters and loads more.

We then went to the Palm court Hotel to unpack. It looked small on the outside but it was much bigger in the inside. We then had our tea we had, soup, chips and pizza and ice cream. We then went to the beach to have a run around. We got back at 8:45. We all had a drink of Cocoa, orange or milk. After we had finished our drinks some people stayed in the lounge and played go fish while others went to bed. 

That was all for day 1.

 Good morning! you're never guess what we went on, we went on a ferry! how cool is that. At first we didn't know we were moving and then i looked behind and we had gone miles away already. Then we had to walk up the stais and we heard the ferry making the water splash. When we eventually got to the top some of us felt sea sick including us. When we got off the ferry we went straight to amazon world it was so cool we saw all types of animals that you would find in the amazon! Eventually we went to the hotel it was so nice we had a lovely vegetable soup a piece of bread and a cup of orange juice. But we didn't know that was only our starters. For the main meal we had a pizza and chips with a cup of juice. For dessert we had some ice cream with a wafer on top. Also when we found out who we was sharing a room with we got exactly who we put down. Today we are going to Colemans farm and i hope it is going to be great!

                       We have had a great time so far and today we are going to Carisbrooke castle and a farm. Yesterday on the beach we found a fossil and cracked it on the steps to see if it was a fossil. And it was so we are going to take it to the fossil man tonight.
