Chelmsford Activity Week

 On thursday the activity people went to southend and we had a fun day. We got there at 10:15 and it was locked so we had to wate on the beach i cut my toe on a 2 meater deep rock pool. then at 11:00 we went into the adventure park we got into 6 groups there was :mrs hendersons group miss williams group mr furnesses group mrs bennets and miss martins group and mrs brown group. that day was the best day ever.

 Yesterday some of the year 6's went to Southend.

 Hi everyone, i am so happy because we have been doing lots of Art. My group are Keeley, Marie, Pelin and myself, Rebecca. My group have drew a flower (very pretty) and lots of spirals and stems around it. Our special artist is Pelin who drew the flower herself and me and the others drew the spirals and the stems. Our painting is called Fashion Frenzy because our group name is called Fashion and Frenzy because it is quite mad! Year six are having a smashing good time with two different activitys (table tennis and art (oviously). Everyone is drawing different things, at the end we are going to put our art on ebay and sell it!

Year 6s enjoyed a brilliant day at Thorndon Country Park in Brentwood.  We learnt bushcraft skills including shelter building, firelighting, backwoods cooking and much much more!

The children took lots of photographs, some of which have been uploaded for you all to see!

As you will be able to see from the pictures below Mr Kyriacou has plenty of children to ask advice from as he tries to improve his own golf swing.

Yesterday we went to the beach it was lovely I think it was to lovely because I got sun burnt. We found loads of shark teeth. (How many did u find) Today we are going on the field to have bike faces tee hee. I am going to win them all lol. :)

Anyway got to go I will keep you posted tomoz and have a good journey home. I think you will all sleep you look well, tired in all the pictures.

Today year 6 went to walton on the naze. it was fab. first of all we were just allowed to paddle and play around and start our sandcastles if we wanted to. you could do what ever we wanted to. After lunch we went back on the beach and had a game of rounders if we wanted to. Then we got an ice cream and went fossel hunting. I was the first to find a shark tooth. When we got back we found that our sandcastles had been stood on. Then we packed up and went home. The best thing is that we didn't have to do any work. WOW! the best

 As you all know i am egg race champion 2008 it was a great experence racing againt's other people in the class.i used my imagination to create my wonderful buggy which of course won the race.

It is lovely to hear from you. Today we are going to Walton-On-The-Naze (Gina and Kerry will know where I mean lol) To build sandcastles and to look for sharks teeth, I bet we will find more sharks teeth than you.

today we are going to the beach (walton on the naze) and we are going to try and beat the sand castles you made. even though yours are excellent and ours are gona be better. missin you loads

Hey everyone,

Today the activity week people had different problems to solve. For most of the day I was paired up with Tiah.

First of all we had to stand on a piece of paper and turn it over without touching the floor. If you touch the floor you are out. Can you guess who won? It was me and Tiah. After that we had to get from one side of the playground to other. It was quite difficult. But we still won. After that we had to do it again but this time we had an A3 peice of paper. (So much easier!) We also won that aswell. Then we had to get into groups of two (boys and  girls) and we had to get to the other side of the hall, not touching the floor, just with benches and the girls won that one aswell. After that we had to do the Fox Grain and Chicken thing were you're not allowed to leave something that can eat the other thing together and my group won that one aswell. Then it was lunch and then after lunch we had to make buggys.

In the buggy's we had to run to oneside of the playground to the other whilst holding the egg in the buggy and trying not to smash it. unfortunetly we did not win :(.

In this year's egg race Keiran was a deseved winner with a time of 4.24 seconds, his closest challengers being Megan,Millie and Tiah in second and Sian in third.

Despite a closely contested event there was one messy competitor. When the back back wheels fell off Dale and Reece's buggy there was only one outcome,egg everywhere.

Well done to all this years competitors and especially the well designed winner.

Yesterday evening Layla from Year 5 came second at district sports with a magnificent leap of 341cm. The last round jump propelled her from 5th place to second to gain Kings Rd valuable points.

All the children aquitted themselves well with Brook coming a valiant 6th against boys two years older than himself. Jamie and Courtney managed 5th place finishes in the throwing.

Aaron and Chloe performed personal bests in the high jump with 109 and 106cm respectively(awaiting finishing positions).

The event did not finish without injury though as Kings Rd legend Mr Pugh sustained a nasty thigh strain whilst measuring the girls long jump. Mr Pugh (currently leading Mr Disley 13-5 on trophies) was heard to have said he wished he had warmed up first. A lesson to us all.
