On the 3rd of March, WL10 performed an Egyptian assembly. The assembly involved dancing, acting, singing and more. The first section started off with dancing that involved fast actions and moving back in time followed by Egyptian workers that showed how they moved the stones, how they built the pyramids in the boiling sun. The last part of the dance showed the pupils in the class re-acting the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb.
Next they introduced the “tour guides” and started to give the audience a small tour of Egypt, pointing out places like the River Nile, Alexandria, and Rosetta as well as things such as the Sahara desert, the Valley of the Kings and Lower and Upper Egypt.
The tour guides showed the school famous Pharaohs, Kings and Queens and then gave the audience facts and a description.
At the end WL10 surprised the pupils and teachers, by doing a performance of the song “Joseph” in “Any dream will do”.
WL10 felt they had done the best they could and really loved the way everything turned at the final performance and so they are going to look forward to other acting, dancing, and singing events in the future…
