Mr Pugh's sandcastle

Hi everyone

You'll never guess  - the person who vandalised Mr Pugh's sandcastle has just emailed me the photo they took of it first.  No wonder they were jealous Mr Pugh - it's absolutely amazing, and you had no-one to help you unlike someone else on the Isle of Wight!!!!

Here is the photo -

Year 4 all went to Writtle!

Hello everyone

My poem is about our day at Writtle last week.  I wrote it while my muddy jeans were going round and round in the washing machine!  I have been really busy since then so this is the first chance I have had to post it.

Year four all went to Writtle

It was the first of May

It rained and rained

And then…. more rain

But it didn’t spoil their day!

They saw an owl

It was eighteen

All fluffy, white and small

And it only weighed twelve ounces

That’s not very much at all!

Chicks and cows

And lambs and bulls

Animals there were many

But sun…. guess what?

It’s no surprise, there really wasn’t any!

Help! They cried we need the bus

To take us back to school

And back they went

All covered in mud

Their memories to recall.

LSAs caught in the act

Hello everyone!

We have been learning how to use some new software called Comic Life to produce a comic strip.  We were given the title "Caught  in the Act" and this is what we came up with!!

Let us know what you think.

All  biscuits gratefully received!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, my name is Sally!

Hello everyone!

My name is Sally and I am a sunflower.  I have been sitting in a very dark place, all on my own , feeling very lonely and a little bit scared.  But now I have grown until I have reached the light and I realise that I am in a small cup on a window sill.

Apparently, I am in Mrs Leslie's house.  She bought me at your school's Enterprise Week sale and I have been entered into a competition for the tallest sunflower.  I hope I win because Mrs Leslie says that we will get an enormous Easter Egg as a prize!!!

Well, I am now 8cm tall and I am very happy here.  I'm sitting near to a computer so I get lots of visitors and sometimes I get some water to drink.

I know that there are some more sunflowers out there - one is called Eddy - so I was wondering if they might be able to tell me how they are getting on?

What did you learn today?

As I wasn't in school today (Tuesday), I was wondering what you have been learning.  Perhaps someone could tell me!  I was at university and this morning we were pond-dipping, well actually it was a river!  I am hoping to get some photos of us with our fishing nets etc so that I can post them on here.

I am looking forward to hearing from lots of you!

My trip to London and the London Eye

Last night I went to London for a 'flight' on the London Eye. I've been on it during the day but wanted to see London at night with all the lights. Something happened which made it even more fun. Before we got on, a man asked us if we would take a photograph of him with the group of people he was with, using his camera. My husband took the photo of what turned out to be the management team of the London Eye. They insisted on taking us to the front of the queue and upgraded our flight to a champagne one which meant that we were able to see the amazing sight of London at night whilst drinking champagne! It was a fantastic evening! I've got some photos but seem to have lost the little box that enabled me to insert them with the text!

Are you there Mr Furness - I need your help!

Strictly Come Disco Dancing with JF9

Hello everyone

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed watching your performances at the end of our dance session this morning.

It's really hard to plan and perform a dance routine, especially when everyone may have different ideas about what to do, so I thought you all worked really well together.

Well done and keep dancing!!
