Yesterday on Sunday, Kings Road Choir went to the Royal Albert Hall in London! It was an amazing experience! first of all we went into our dressing rooms and after that we went for our first rehearsal in the Albert Hall it was the best! Later on after we had had our Lunch and Tea we changed into our t-shirts which had a lovely picture on it that was drawn by Lara, well done! I was very excited when we walked onto the stage hearing all the audience clapping, after we had preformed our 18 songs including a Joseph Medley, Let It Shine from Take That and lots more! we got on the coach to leave Albert Hall at around 9:45 and arrived back at school at 12:00!

It was a lovely day, Thank You Very, Very, Very much.

Hello, My name is Megan and I would like to tell you about Children In Need which is coming up on Friday the 14th of November. On Friday we are allowed to come in non-uniform, possibly pyjamas like last year (??) If we are allowed I'm coming in my pyjamas! For Children In Need you will need to bring in a pound which will go to the Children In Need charity, We will also be selling muffins outside of school for 50p. SO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR CHILDREN IN NEED!

Hello my name is Megan and I would like to say well done to Mr Furness who got the job as the deputy head! I am very excited because I'm sure we'll have so much fun just like were having with Mrs Woolmer. Although it means he won't be our year 6 teacher it still means we can have lots of fun like in assemblies by using his I.C.T skills. It also probably means that when and if he comes to teach for a bit we could use the mac books. Well done Mr Furness!

The best thing is that now your a celebrity with me we can practise our autographs! LET'S GET PRACTISING!

On the 26th of July on saturday I went to Mexico! In Mexico me, Mum, Hannah and Dad stayed in a resort called "White Sands Holiday Village" It was really nice, Here's some paragraphs about it....

The holiday resort was really nice. Instead of staying in a big hotel we stayed in a room that had two double beds, a TV and a bathroom. We had a Terrace that had a nice blue hammack on it plus a table and chair.

It had really clear sea there which was really pretty so I was in the sea most of the time! It also had two swimming pools plus a new one was being built. One of them was really cool it was called the activity pool because they did competitions like Head To Head Showdown. (I will write the song at the end.) There was also a splash pool that was a giant pirate ship that had water guns, a bucket that you fill up with water and get someone soaked! Also there were lots of water sprayers. PLUS two water slides one yellow one blue.

While I was there I did something that was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SWAM WITH DOLPHINS! I got to kiss a dolphin and the dolphin gave me a kiss back. I also got to hug it shake it's fin and it gave me two rides, one was called Foot Push where they push you right out of the water! I can't remember what the other one was called but it's where you grab their fins and they pull you along! It was a one in a lifetime experience!

I also swam in the world's second biggest Corral Reef! While I was there I saw a turtle!

Mr Furness

Thank you very much Mr Furness for being such a wonderful teacher I think that we should have you for a whole year. At Kings Road I have never had a teacher who is so fun and full of jokes so thank you for all the experiences we've had together like using the Mac Books.

Miss White

Thank you very much Miss White for being such a excellent teacher I will really miss you and I can't belive that I have to try and cope with out you. I have really enjoyed you teaching maths to me it has be so much fun and I will miss you being my great maths teacher. Goodbye xx

Thank you for teaching me in year 1 it seems a long time ago but the happy memories will always stay with me. I will really miss you and I think thate everyone will. You have always been a fabulous teacher. Goodbye xx

Yesterday on the 9th of July year 4 went to St Peter's College. First we had to walk there while it was pouring down with rain. When we arrived the first thing we did was sit in the theatre and wait to be told what were going to be doing. After that we had dance, it was about robots. The first thing we did was warm up because if you don't you might pull a muscle. Then we did a robot dance called Motif-A, it is where you dance like a robot. Secondly we got into groups in my group was Shannon C.O and Manar. We then had to make up a dance and then we preformed it infront the class and some of Miss White's class.

After that we had drama with Mr Dawes about a monster called Gorgolon. First he picked three people called Megan K, Alex S and Billy P. Then we all formed a tunnel that moved as they walked under it. After we all led down and they said some lines then we made Gorgolon and ate them!

Finally we had music. First we warmed up our voices by saying oooo and pa pa. Then he played a game called Conducter. What you have to do is when he made a sign that meant something and sometimes he didn't do it which caught us out! Then we sung OOM PA PA from Oliver. Here's the first verse... OOM PA PA OOM PA PA that's how it goes, OOM PA PA OOM PA PA Everyone knows! They all suppose what they want to suppose when they hear OOM PA PA! 

At Last it was time to preform infront of parents from other schools aswell as ours. It was really fun and nerve racking. We preformed three dances that were the Motif-A, group dance and the conveyor belt that I forgot to tell you about and also the drama.

In class we have been learning about the Caribbean and we have been reading a book called Kensuke's Kingdom it is about a boy called Micheal and he was sailing on a boat called the Peggy Sue with his Mum, Dad and his dog Stella Artois. He trys to save Stella and falls into the sea. The book is by Micheal Morpurgo, read the book to find out the ending.

 We have been building shelters in the Quad ands our shelter is between the bird house and the wall. Please have a look at it. Here is a picture of our shelter...

Today was Luke's leaving party it was great fun! The boys were playing football, Marie was a D.J and some people like me used the karaoke machine I also caught a few boys on it and I was listening to their singing! =D Tee Hee. (I heard Brook, Josh R, Tom and I think Alan!) Instead of playing pass the parcel we played pass the balloon. When you music stopped who ever had hold of the balloon wone a prize but they didn't know what it was... I wone a pencil with a strawberry rubber, a pencil, highlighters and a lolly. We also played pin the tail on the donkey, it was really fun! I thought that the food was nice but because of the wind some of my food flew on the floor but apart from that it was really fun I thought the music choice was great, the food was delicious and the presents were great. I would like to say thank you to Tracy (Luke's Mum) and everyone else who helped out at the party.

Thank you and good luck for when you move. Luke I hope you feel better because you hurt yourself.

Today we played rounders with Mrs Woolmer and class NW8. On the first game (when JF9 was fielding and on the posts) Mrs Woolmer was bowling, NW8 was hitting, we were fielding and on the post while Mrs Clark kept the score. NW8 got 6 rounders (I think) so well done, but JF9 beat them! (yeah! go JF9!) we got 7 (I think) great work class. But sadly thats not the end so next week will be the final but the good news is we have wone so far =). I know that I got a rounder and I was really proud of myself-well done Megan! and well done to everyone else who got a whole rounder in our class and Miss White's.

I thought that it was a great game. Thank you for reading my (fabulous!?) blog I hope you enjoyed it.

Today we were in the I.C.T suite and we worked in parteners and my partener is Molly.  We had to write down what our new target is (we made them up) and here are my three targets...My target is to use more time connectives in my work. My target is to make my WRITING A TINY BIT BIGGER! My target is to read more at home. Here are Molly's three targets...My target is to read my work to the whole class. My target is to answer more questions in maths. My target is to improve my handwriting.

We have learnt how to make stars and change the colour of the star and text. We have also learnt how to do a text box and delete the line around the edge.

Every time you achieve your target you colour in one point of your star. By the time you have coloured in all of your points you have probably achieved your target.

 Today we were on mac computers (laptops) and we had groups and we had to write a script and we chose a scene from Willy Wonka and in out group was Nat, Brook, Lewis, Jade and me. On Saturday the 24th May (my birthday) I got a puppet. The puppets that we have at shows in the school. She is called Melanie and both of my nans got her for me. She came with a pink top and a purple top on top! Today my nan took me into town and we went to look for some clothes for Melanie. We found a black Bratz T~shirt and luckily it fitted her! you will all be seeing her on Monday morning when we come back to school! here are some rules about puppets...

1. Don't touch a puppet unless you have washed and dried your hands.

2. Don't touch a puppet's face.

3. Treat a puppet the way you would like to be treated yourself.

4. Put the puppet back in a/your box when you have finished with it.

5. It is not a toy!

Puppet show rules...

1. Keep your puppet up high.

2. Don't put your arm down  in the middle of a song.

3. Make sure arm rods have been put on right.

and the main rule is...

Hello everyone! did you hear the thunder? On Wednesday morning at about 3:00 in the morning we had  bad thunder and lightning it was really scary! The lightning was ok because it just flashed but the thunder was really scary it was really loud! it went on for about half an hour and I was like, when is it going to stop? it finally got quieter and the rain stopped a bit, and then a really loud bit of thunder came (aaaaaaaaaahhhh!) I went to stay in my Mum's room. I definitely know that Molly heard it because I phoned her up and we were chatting about it.

If you didn't hear it your very lucky! for some weird reason Me and Molly woke up just before the storm! how annoying is that?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I will never forget that morning.

On Friday the 23rd of May me, Megan D, Molly, Shannon Co, Jade, Alex S, Alex L, Frankie, Manar and Marie was supposed to come but she couldn't so my dad was Marie. We all went to Ten Pin bowling by Hylands Park it was great fun we all got party bags after with cool stuff in it! When everyone had gone except me, Megan D, Frankie and my Mum and Dad, Frankie and Dad played Air Hockey and after Me and Megan D played together.

When we got home I opened my presents from the bowling alley and I got stuff like Hama Beads, Clothes, Gelli Baff (thats how it's spelt) Diarys and pens and lots more. Megan D got me a HSM T-shirt and Maltesers that didn't last long! We then watched DVD's like The Simpsons Movie.

It was finally my birthday and I opened even more presents! I  got vouchers like book vouchers, Build a Bear vouchers and Claires voucher. I also got lots HSM stuff like chairs. I also got money. The total of money in my purse is over £40.00! I got lots more presents aswell like a puppet called Melanie you will all be seeing her on Monday. 

Thank you to everyone who got me presents and cards they are lovely. Thank you everyone who came to my party it was great with you being there.

I will also be giving you Thank you cards and they might have pictures of us at the party.

Today JF9 was playing with Mac computers and me and Manar was playing on Photo Booth. You can take pictures of yourself and use special affects/backgrounds like the Eifall tower, clouds, roller coaster. Here are some affects, X-Rays, Black and white and very funny faces! :D Then we put them on comic life and we are very proud of what we've done.

We have learnt how to use photo booth and how to put the photos on comic life.

Yesterday (Saturday) I went to a club called G-Zone with Alex S. First we had to choose a group and me and Alex were in Cool Crew. We were dancing to great songs like She's so lovely. If we weren't dancing we would get wet by the vipers because they had water pistols! We also heard a story called David and Goliath here it is, David was a little boy who lived with is Mother and Brothers, his Mother and his Brothers had to go and fight. David had to look after their flock of sheep he had to kill a Lion with his sling with stones on and he did! Then his Father came home and he asked him to take some food and make sure his family is alright and there was a giant there. The giant was called Goliath he was extrememly tall! David got his sling and fired it and the giant really hard and killed him everyone was really impressed!

Today me, mum, dad and Hannah went to Lego Land in Windsor. We went on two Viking rides one was called Viking Invader and the other one is called Viking River Splash it is a water ride, we all got soaked and bumped about. On Viking Invader you sit in a boat and swing up and down and you also spin around. Near the end of the day me and dad went to Lego City and it had castles, towers, houses, moving cars, moving boats, moving trains and lots more, it was amazing! on one of the towers there was a mini Dalek! it was so CUTE!

Today Me and Mum were in the garden as it was such a lovely day. This morning we went out and bought yellow and purple flowers, a tomato plant and mint. I also planted my spring onions today and the tomato plant as it's mine (but I don't like tomatos!) first we got lots of pots and then filled it up with soil half way after that I sprinkled the onion seeds on top (the seeds were black) next I put some more soil on top and watered it and I did the same with all the other plants. I enjoyed planting all the flowers and getting muddy hands!

In class we have been learning about smoking with Mrs Woolmer. First Mrs Woolmer read us a story about a Prince who smoked. First we planned a poster and then we drew it and coloured it in. My poster's title said Smoking Kills I drew a no smoking sign and I wrote how smoking harms you. The next day we drew a mind map about all the things we had learnt, I wrote that it wastes your money. Smoking turns your teeth and fingers yellow you can also suffer from a heart attack.

I have a couple of words to tell you..

DON'T SMOKE!

This week we have been writing our own diary's so I'm going to share mine.

Dear Diary,

I was really excited today because it's the best day of my life, why? because it's Easter Sunday when you can eat lots of chocolate Easter Eggs yummy! My Mummy left me on the black leather seetee because my Mummy went to a fun fare. I know that's so unfair! so today I have ran away to Puerto Banus in Marbella which is in Spain.

Meanwhile I arrived in Marbella it was so hot! so I went shopping and got a swimming costume, sun umbrella, make-up and silver flip flops and lots more stuff. After that I booked a room in a hotel and went swimming in a lovely cold swimming pool after a nice long swim I felt much better. When I eventually got out I was a giant fuzz ball so I went to the salon and got my fur groomed. Then I met this other rabbit she said she was called Daisy, she let me share her room for the night and we watched High School Musical one and two! My other friend called and said that Sophie didn't know where I was and she was sick with worries so I got the earliest flight back home next morning oh what an unforgettable holiday Night Night Diary xx

Hi my name is Megan and my friend's name is Alex.S. This week we have been painting and blowing eggs. First we got our sketch books and then we designed a pattern that we are going to paint on our egg. After that Mr Furness got a pin and made holes in both ends of the egg. Then we blew our eggs and lots of yoak came out yuck! Then we painted the eggs my (Megan) design was a Ladybird, my (Alex) design was zig zags and stripes.

We really enjoyed it especially getting messy with the paint and the yoak!!

Last week was maths week and it was all based around T.V game shows including the following; Ready Steady Cook and the Crystal Maze. Ready steady cook is related to maths because you might have to put a fraction of food in your recipe. I learnt all about equivalents and fractions, My favourite part was when we made the fruit salad and presented it because it was really fun.

Last week was maths week and we were learning about tessellation. I learnt that tessellation means that if you put shapes together they make a pattern but leave's no gap inbetween each piece. My favourite part was when we drew it on the paper because it looked really good when it was finished.

 In literacy we have been learning about recycling and there was a super hero called Captain Green. We had to write a comic strip and write a story about how Captain Green saves the day. My story started when Captain Green was walking up and down his street and everyone  recycled and no one drove any where. Simultaneously a storm came and he was transported to a different planet, it was his enemy's place and it was horrible! they had a fight and then Captain Green won and he stayed in the planet because everyone was under his control
