Driftwood!

Today me and my class have been designing what we want to do on our driftwood. The reson I chose this one is because we've looked at some real ones and they were all simple and I like this one anyway so that is why I chose it!

Tag Rugby!

Every Monday me and some other year 4s and 6s go to Tag Rugby! Once everyone has arrived we do warm ups like...

  • Jogging and spinting on the spot for ten seconds
  • Balancing on one leg
  • Front leg bent back leg straight.

After we've got warmed up we play bulldog the catchers have to get your two tags once you become a catcher the winer is the only person left with at least on tag. From that we should learn to keep a line so it is harder for the other team to get pass.

Then we go on to the real match where we're put in to teams. The coach (Mike) picks a teamcapitan for each team. Then we begin and a trick that we are aloud to do is a dummy when we prend to pass to someone by looking at them just befor you there about to tag you so they go to were they think your going to pass to just you don't actualy pass the ball and keep on going which means hopefuly you can score a try!Because the person you taged might not always know you've got to shout TAG!

Thanks for reading

Scene 1

The last golden ticket is found!

"I've won I've one!" Shouted Charlie with excitement.

"What did you say?" asked Grandma Georgina in surprise.

"What" said mum and dad

"Did you say what I thought you did" said grandpa Joe in excitement and jumping around for the first time in a long while.

"He's acutely on his feat!" said mum in surprise.

"Charlie" said mum again "You have to get ready now because you are going tomorrow!"

A Spring Poem

In homework we had to write a poem about spring hear is mine. I decided to do a Cross-tic poem.

Spring is a beautiful time when the animals start to grow,

Pink little flowers sway in the breeze.

Rich purple blossom grows on the trees,

In the field lambs and little bunny rabbits play in the sun.

No one not one creature is not happy in spring,

Great is spring when everyone is happy!

Apostrophes

Today in literacy we learnt how to use Apostrophes. The type we learnt how to use was when it was a belonging. Here's some examples.

The handbag of the lady-The lady's handbag.

The cap of Bob-Bob's cap.

Today's lesson taught me when I need to use an Apostrophe and when I don't.

Maths week

What did we do?
On Tuesday we made a fruit salad that we also got to eat (it was delicious!).On Wednesday we played Blockbusters and that was really fun as well. On Thursday, which was my favourite day, we played Crystal Maze and I (Jonathan), Nat, Brook, Billy, Alex L, Alex S, Shannon Co and Rebecca made a map of the school and hid some letters to make a word. See if you can make a word using all these letters M,G,E,A,H,O,W,S.  Lastly, on Friday we made Tessellation Patterns.
What did we learn?
I learnt how to work as a team and how “squared” works.
Which were your favourite bits and why?
My favourite bit was making the map and getting 4 other children to go round the school finding the letters.
What other weeks would you like to have in school?
I would like to have an I.C.T week.

Reading

On Wednesday every week six children from my class go to KW5. The reason we go is to help the year 1/2's to be able to read better. Then while six of us are in their class six of them come to our class and six people in our class listen to them read and help them with their reading. We also haft to ask them questions like...

Who's the main character or character's.

What's the story about.

Goodbye from Jonathan
