This morning a Football Coach came to our school to teach year 6 certain skills in Football. He taught us things like how you dribble the ball and what part of your foot that you kick the ball with.

We played a game where you have to wait untill the Football Coach says go, then you have to try and kick someone else's ball.

Today some pupils from year 6 were invited to a puzzle morning at the KEGGS school. We all were given a number on a sticker with our name on it to tell us what groups we were in. I was in group 6, with 3 other people.

In the morning we had to solve all kinds of puzzles, for example we were given a card with a shape on it and we had to build it with different shaped blocks.

It was really fun and I learnt how to solve different complicated puzzles!

 Hi everyone! Today we went to Carisbrooke castle. It was really fun! When we got there we saw a couple of donkeys. One was called Jim Bob and the other one was named Jack. Later on that day we saw Jim bob turning the water wheel. It was really fun and we learnt about the donkeys. 

In the afternoon we went to Colemans Farm. It was a great experiance, as we fed many animals. We also groomed the goats as well! A man Graham gave us a tour of the farm, and also gave us a ride in the back of the tractor. He said to beware of the frog, but we thought it was a joke. But when we passed a shed a toy frog sprayed water at us!

We had a great time today, and I'll give you more info soon!

 Hi everyone! It's our first day at the Isle of wight and it is really fun! It was a 5 hours journey and it was our first time on the Ferry! Today we went to Amazon world. We saw lots of interesting animals-such as... Meerkats, anteaters and lots more. At the end of the adventure, we visited the gift shop. I (leanne) bought a notebook and pen. Me, (Abbie W) got a glass statue with flowers inside. (:

When we arrived at the hotel we were announced our rooms and told the rules of the hotel/house and when we got to our rooms we had 30 minuites before we had to return downstairs for dinner.

A matter of fact we're waiting right now!

Yesterday, Leanne and Lesley used a software called Smart Notepad. We have used it to show you how to use the short division method. We hope you find it easy to learn it!

On Saturday the 17th, some teachers and pupils went to the BETT show in London, olympia. We were all from year 5 and 6 to show our projects we made at home. Our projects were about something we can do really well, or a talent that we really like. I chose to write about puppet club, because I really enjoy it and find it something different to do. Everybody who went made a really good project. It turned out very well, as some customers talked to us about our projects.

It was very busy, and there were many stands. Our stand was at 'Learning elswhere'. We all had a T-shirt designed, with Kings Road Primary School at the front, and learning elsewhere at the back. Also, we had a pass around our neck to tell people who we were.

Near the end of the show some of us who were given SMART shirts had to go to the SMART stand. The competition was to wear the shirts to advertise SMART, and if you did you could win a prize with your raffle ticket. Luckily, we won one of the SMART prizes for our school. Thank you to Chloe H who won!

Rachel W, Leanne Y, Toni C, Abbi N, Thasmin S and Jay K were judges. The talent show was held in the Small Hall.

The first day we had the year 4s preforming. The people who stood out the most was Lilly & Hannah from WL10. We picked these because they were confident and we could hear every word they sang.

On the second day we had the year 5's showing there talent. They were really good .The person who shone the most was Alan in TP12 doing his very special talent singing we thought he was fantastic. Also there was one other person who drew with Alan, they were Chloe and Holly in CH11. They were also really good.

On Wednesday it was the year 6's turn. We had a mixture of talents, including magic tricks, basketball ect... The group we picked was a band from AK14. In the band were Chloe H, Oliver H, Ben B, Tina T and Luke T. Then Charlotte C performed a song from High School Musical.

Also the theme of Children in Need is to do something different. Our extra winner for doing something different was Bradley K for doing basketball.

Well done to everyone who entered. We were delighted with your effort.

We would like to give a big thanks to Mr Furness and Miss Willams for helping us organise the whole talent show we could not of done it with out you.  

Today in the I.C.T suite we were searching images of the Tudors. I decided to search Tudor fashion. Above, you can see my images, please take a look! In class we are making a fairytale story. We could draw a picture of our character, and mine was Cinderella. This is my illustration of her...

I really enjoy drawing in school. This activity was really fun, and I found it quite a challange to draw Cinderella. To improve it I could draw more details, and background colours to make it look better.

I am very surprised with my results. I realised that in the end I am a mix of a Visual, Kinaesthetic and Auditory learner, though I thought I would be an Auditory learner. I thought this because I usually learn by listening, but sometimes I can learn by reading, so I could have been a Visual learner as well. I diddn't really think I was a Kinaesthetic learner at all! I also think this was a great test, because I realised what sort of learner I am.
