Wow, who'd have thought that having just a year of Jonathan.....I mean, Mr Furness' time would turn normal school children into budding artists :P
Its looking very good indeed, guys :)
Dan.
Mr Furness
Hello Dan,
It's great to hear from you and have you post on our blog site - it's a real surprise. You're the first!
The children will love your comment and it will be an enormous boost to them and their creativity. I hope some will reply, if only to say hello to you.
By the way, in case you don't know, Dan was a pupil at one of the most successful schools in the country called Stepping Stones and is a very special place indeed. Quite literally, there isn't a school like it. I taught at this school for about three years before joining Kings Road Primary School and remember the pupils, staff, and parents fondly.
Great to hear that you are following our Advent Calendar, Dan.
Take care,
Jonathan (aka Mr Furness)

I think this calendar is a great idea allowing the children to use their artistic flair, its a great idea well done. I was lucky enough to be in CG1 last Friday as they were doing their day-trust me it is definately worth a look and listen to.
Amanda Sheldon

Very good work on the wrapping paper, I like that it is symmetrical. You are very good artists in Year one.
Class SJ9
You have done extraordinarily well on all of the things on the calendar. We especially liked the wrapping paper by the year 1s and all the pictures by the year 6s. Brilliant singing Miss Gibson's and Miss William's. We loved all the games!!! :)
Thanks for the entertainment,
From Class SJ9
Chloe
I like Chloe's Christmas story,I especcially like the pictures.

charlotte c
you have done a really good pic
Amanda S
Well done Abigail and Courtney on Santa's coming to town! Watch out Morph there's competition in town!
Would also like to add that Santa's snow line is a very big hit in this house, the boys fight to be the first one to log on to play - every day.
Mr Furness
Is this the same in other households I wonder?
It's by far the biggest hit on the Advent Calendar yet! Have your boys managed to complete all the levels?
If the boys would like to contribute something to go behind one of the windows on the calendar between now and Christmas, I am sure I can include it.
Thank you for your message!
Katy
It's wonderful advent calendar, The light bulbs on the christmas tree is great very challenging indeed, nearly got it all working, but I think I need more practice at it!
Well done!

What a brilliant idea! I've loved 'opening' your advent calendar and thinking about Christmas - it's not celebrated by many people in Nepal. I'm working as a volunteer in Government schools here and if I could find one that had the internet I would love to share your website with them. Unfortunately they dont have many of the things we have in UK schools. But they are mostly very happy children who love coming to school.
Merry Christmas to you all and keep up the good work.
Wendy Nicolson in Kathmandu, Nepal
I have really enjoyed discovering what is hidden behind each window. You are all brilliant! Have a wonderful Christmas.

To everyone who has been involved with the production of the Advent Calendar. It is a great idea and has helped to make it feel like Christmas is coming. In Pokhara, Nepal it is still quite warm, approximately 23 degrees C in the daytime but the temperature falls to about 7 degrees C at night. So it doesn't really feel like winter time in the UK. But I only need to look outside my window to see snow- on the Annapurna Mountains. Well Done for all your hard work. Happy Christmas from Nepal.

Hi,
I just wanted to say how fantastic your web site is, well done to all of you. I am a Year 6 teacher at St Clement's Primary school in Birmingham and was browsing the web for good examples of blogs, as this term I will be teaching blogging to my class for the first time (for both them and me!) I came across yours and think it is absolutely fabulous and will be using it as an example of what can be produced.
I am new to blogging so we are starting with the basics but one day hope to be as good as you!
Anyway, a Happy New Year to you all and happy blogging in 2009!!
Best wishes
Helen

I'm from Brisbane, in the state of Queensland, in Australia.
We don't have white christmases 'down under'. It's usually hot, and a good time to go to the beach. Me. I like relaxing and watching the cricket. At the moment we're being thrashed by the South Africans.
I hope you ahve an advent calendar next year, because this one arrived a little late, but I could tell looking at your enjoyment with your singing that you had a great Christmas.
Good school in 2009.
David
PS Thanks again!!
